The GHIN# allows us to accurately find your current handicap. It should be on the handicap card you receive from your club or you can call your pro shop and they can easily provide the number for you. It is not mandatory that you provide the number on your application, but it is a courtesy to the tournament chairman who is trying to find 80 to 90 handicaps just before the tournament. While we can usually find handicaps using name only, if someone uses a nickname or spells her name differently on the application or handicap computer it takes more time to verify your handicap

Carrel Westlake says...

Why do you require a GHIN# on your application? No other organization does this, and it's hard for most people to find.

I think there was a problem with the server yesterday. I'm hopeful that Martha will be able to complete her registration today. As far as entering events, all events will be entered with the applications in your Handbook this year. We will not be printing the Handbook next year and all applications for events will then be available to download from this site.

Toni Buerkert says...

I am helping Martha Salter get to the site and she is on the roster but can't log on. There is some explanation that it is not complete. We have reentered everything and it still does not work. Is it okay to enter the evcents by sending in the app from the book?

Tomi,

When you try to register, after you enter your personal information, you will see a line that says Verification and a box that may look like an advertisement. Look carefully at that box and it will tell you exactly what to enter in the little box at the bottom. Type exactly what it tells you to enter. That should get you in.
